Convention Center of the city of Córdoba

The Convention Center of the city of Córdoba is a space for meetings and events with a surface area of ​​7,200 square meters and capacity for 4,500 people. Designed to host international events, the center required a wireless connectivity solution that allows to have an excellent service in each covered space and mainly in its main hall of 4,000 square meters.

The biggest challenge in this type of scenario lies in the design of the WLAN coverage in the main room. It requires high density of wireless access points and particularly in this case could only be installed on the ceiling that is at a height of 8 meters. A compromise solution must be sought between the line of sight of the APs, distance from the AP to the user and signal quality.

The DCS engineering and installations team, together with Aruba Networks and Fortinet, implemented a WLAN / LAN solution with secure access and high availability.

The project was successfully inaugurated with the International Congress of the Spanish Language in March 2019.
